You said it, kiddo

David is out of town this week. We have 2 days down, 2.5 to go, and I don't want to jinx anything but so far we are really holding it together, and then some. We haven't eaten out yet once! (This is huge.)

The kids have heard lots and lots of pep talks about how they need to take it easy on me, and be good helpers, and amazingly, it seems to be sinking in.

Devlin, upon noting the title of our bedtime story, Two of Everything: Mom, I wish there were two of you.

Me, blushing: Can you tell me more about that? Why do you wish there were two of me?

Devlin: Well, one of you could be an octopus, and then you could get everything done!

(Like what, hang artwork? Yes, IN THE BATHROOM?)

Trust me, it looks so much better in real life. Truly, you can *only* see it while you are on the john, because if you're just standing at the sink powdering your nose, the painting is obscured behind the door.

(Although, really, what is weirder to stare at when you have your pants down: the iconic David, as one of my dear readers suggested, or the temple? I'm not sure I'm going to think about that much more. Weird or not, it looks really good right there and it's staying.)

Blog challenge day 22: What makes you different from everyone else?

At this point in the Age of the Interwebs, I'm starting to think that no one is really very different from anyone else. The world is full of funny, smart, stylish, insightful people, and they've all got blogs! What do I have to offer?

I'm real. I'm confident. I have a lot of love in my heart, and a lot of adventure in my soul. I want to learn and experience everything I can, and I want to tell my story.

I don't know if that makes me so different, but it does make me, well, me. And you're here, and I love you all.

I'm glad you are you!

That paint really does look fabulous. Amazing how paint can update everything else in a space. It makes the cabinets and the sink look better in my opinion!

No higher place to elevate your thoughts than the temple. Not a bad thing to contemplate when you have the time to do so.

Thanks for all the updates! It's so fun!

So fun that you are decorating. I love decorating.
