This afternoon, as my head was absolutely spinning with endless research on every subject under the sun - from hotel reservations, to TiVo vs. Apple TV vs. cable, to the best way to grill corn on the cob - I said aloud to David:

How did we ever find out all this crap before the internet?

Then again, before the internet, we didn't think we needed to know all this crap in the first place.

Even this little knowledge-hungry redhead is pretty burned out on information overload today. Too much of a good thing is still TOO MUCH.

Well we used the phone a lot, and the phone book, and went from store to store instead of site to site. But in some ways life was so much simpler. No cell phones or internet truly was a simpler, if less enlightened, existence. :)

You know, we were just discussing this subject with our teens at church. They're so "plugged in", and back in high school, we weren't. It's amazing to see how far we have come in technology in the last 15 years. Makes me a little scared and excited to see what the girls will be doing 15 years from now.
