Giveaway time!

Well, you all set a land speed record for "fastest to 50 followers" so it looks like it's time for some fun!

When I did my last giveaway, I gave one entry per commenter, because I didn't want to be greedy or drive people to sign up to follow my blog. Why should you, after all? I don't have sponsors or anything that depends on my traffic or stats or anything like that.

But this time, I've decided to do it just a little differently, and here's why.

Some of you check in here every day (probably because you are related to me), but some people only check in now and again. So what about all my friends and readers who don't happen to pop in during the giveaway?

Doesn't seem fair to me.

So this time, there are a couple of ways to enter:

one entry for following my blog (remember, click "join this site" if you want to enter this way and you don't already follow me).

one entry for commenting here with something you love about yourself (click the white blob with a number in it to the right of the post title to comment).

And in return for you sharing your light with me - I'm so looking forward to all the wonderful energy flowing in all weekend and getting to know you all just a little bit better - the giveaway prize will be something that *I* love. I will tailor it to the winner, depending on whether he or she is local or not, etc.

The giveaway will be open for entries until Sunday night, September 25th, at midnight Mountain Standard Time. I will announce a winner Monday morning (maybe very early Monday morning, knowing me).

Thank you all for your readership and support here. I can't wait to go shopping for the winner!

I like my imagination. That's why I always love the book more than the movie. Filmmakers can't come close to the awesomeness that goes on in my head. I think it also makes me more compassionate and fair because it's easy for me to see things from somebody else's point of view.

I always read your blog when you link it to FB, but now I'm officially a Rachel Follower ;)

Oh and I like my determination and sense of right and wrong. I'm not one to give up and I'm not afraid to stand up when something doesn't feel right. When the going gets tough, I just keep one foot moving in front of the other

I love my sense of humor. I love that it makes my kids laugh, makes my husband laugh, and when things are seeming to fall apart all around me (homework time?) how it makes me laugh too and allows me to keep going without feeling the need to throw a colossal tantrum.

I love my body just the way it is. And I love that I'm at a point in my life where I can say that and truly mean it.

So, I'm an official follower of Sweet Spontaneous! I'm official and public and linked and everything. You know that I support/love your sharing of your life and give you props for doing so. It just took me a little longer to make it official. Go get 'em tiger! Rock on, you cute little red headed mommy, you!

I love my big heart. I would much rather risk getting hurt a little (or a lot) than not love with all of my whole entire being. And there always seems to be plenty of love to go around :)

I helped you get to 50! But only because I love your wit and charm. You are a lovely lady.

Crazy as it sounds, I love that I am OCD. It makes life difficult at times because I cannot control my brain when it comes to needing everything to fall into a perfect pattern. But I love that about myself because I see in a very different perspective than most. I love that it allows me to be organized and efficient. :)

I'm officially following you now too! :)

I love that I'm overly sensitive. Sometimes it can get me into trouble, but most of the time it allows me to really feel for other people. I also like that I'm snarky and witty. Balances things out a bit :)

I follow your blog!

I love my curly hair and my ability to laugh at whatever comes my way!

I am a follower of yours.

I love that I am a mother of three- one college freshman and two that are juniors in high school. I am learning to be content with the way God ha made me.

okay. this is funny i always thought you just had your comments turned off. haha. I guess I would have been commenting ALOT more if I would have known that.

im a follower :) AND I LOVE that I am a good friend and a friend no matter what. I try and keep in touch and really like that I make that extra effort. :)

i love that I have such good friends- and that you are one of them. :)

I like the fact that I am optimistic. It's easy for me to get over things and forgive. I like to be happy and it's easy for me to look on the bright side. Your blog makes me happy.

That last comment is from my mom. I love her. She is always noticing such happy things as pretty sunsets and flowers. One of the things I love most about her, too.

Hmmm, I would have to say I love my ability to empathize with and love others easily. I remember seeing the "sponsor-a-child" commercials as a kid and asking my mom if we could do that. I was maybe seven. I think that was pretty awesome of me. :)

Sarah Leigh, you do have a big heart! Probably why you were selected to mother triplets! Still plenty o' love to go around!

AND I love that this awesome sweet, spontaneous writer is my sister.

The End.

P.S. Happy birthday, Iris.

I love my ability to be a nurturer. I take care of my people and I love it. :)

I love that I can let things go and never hold onto a grudge for long. I also love that I'm not offended very easily and find the humor in things that others might find to be hurtful. It makes it so much easier to get along with people!

Happy Birthday Iris:) Iris is one of my favorite names. I have a little sister named "Emily Iris" AND a little sister named Rachel. Funny how that worked.

I love your blog because it is real, it makes me feel good to read it, I often relate, and I often laugh.

Something I love about myself is that when I give a compliment it is real, and one should never doubt that is how I truly feel.

Mark Twain once said, "I can live for two months on a good compliment."

I've been a follower for quite a while. I don't want to miss a single post! :)

I love that I'm a people watcher. It embarrasses my husband sometimes (at restaurants or the like), but I think it has helped me learn to read people and understand (to an extent) their underlying hopes, fears, worries, etc. I love being able to meet someone's need even if they haven't told me about it yet.

I love your blog and check in regularly :) I am also a follower

I love that I am organized. It may sound lame to others, but it keeps me sane!

So many entires! How fun!

I follow your blog. That counts, right?

And something I love about myself? Well, that's easy! I've written about it on my blog before. I love my strawberry blond hair. It's one of my 3 best "traits". Ha! Ha!

I love that I know a little bit about a lot of different things, and a lot about the things I love most. I think it makes me a good conversationalist. Especially because the way I know so many different things is because I spend most of a conversation listening and asking questions.

P.S. I don't want to win again. I just loved the idea of THIS being how you enter a blog contest.

I just love you blog! I am not sure if I follow it - but I will now.

I love my creativity. It very valuable in those time I need to divert my children's focus before meltdowns. It also allows me the opportunity to do so many fun things with my kids!

I'm following your blog now, even though I've been reading it for a long time. We've never met, but I'm Davids cousin. Oldest of his Uncle Bret. I love reading your blog, by the way! It makes me smile and I think we could be friends.

One thing I love about myself is that I'm adventurous. Life would be so boring without a little adventure here and there.

I feel a bit odd talking about myself in a bragging kind of way, but since you asked... I love the fact that I love to learn just about anything that pops into my mind. And another quality that not many people know I have and love is empathy, ability to put myself in someone's shoes, thus enabling me to give others the benefit of a doubt and simply not judge or jump to conclusions about someone based on their actions or looks. And also, I love to serve, help, listen, just be there for someone who needs me.

I hope I can join in this fun! :D I LOVE my nomadic self which includes my sense of adventure, my ability and love to travel, and my diversity! I also love you and your kids and wish I could come watch them!

I didn't really take the part about writing something I like about myself seriously till I read from so many who did. I like that I am a happy person who tries to see the good in every thing and everyone. I have faith that the sun will come up tomorrow and we will get another chance.

I like that I am silly. I am just weird, and silly, goofy, and nerdy and not everyone gets to see that, but I really do enjoy myself!

I also would love to be anybody's friend, I'm really accepting, and I also love that about myself.

Love the blog. I always think, "she's someone I would love to spend an afternoon with!"

I love my ability to remain myself, regardless of outside influences. With that comes the ability to be accepting and tolerant of differences of people I encounter. It lends to a peaceful existence.

opps, didn't mean to wait till the last moment, but I have been subscribed to your blog through Google Reader for ages :) You have 109 readers there!

Well, I'll be darned, Olya! I don't know what kind of blogger I am (an amateur one, clearly!) when I don't even know how the internet works. I didn't even know about that Google Reader thing! Look at all those people over there! Who are they???

I've got everyone entered into the drawing - just a few minutes away!
